TPA_GAC_17The President’s Award for Youth Empowerment Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of two new trustees to its governance structure. They are Ms Vuyelwa Masangwana and Mrs Pauline Jackson.

Vuyelwa Masangwana has over ten years of experience in the public sector and civil society organisations. She has served as a member of the Senior Management Services at the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) and the National Treasury. She served as Secretary to the JSC for 4 years. Whilst part of the National Treasury, she chaired the Trilateral Cooperation Fund worth €6million and served as fund director for the SA – Belgian Study and Consultancy Fund amongst many other responsibilities. She is currently involved in her own consultancy venture. She is passionate about strategy, leadership development, relationship building, social development and knowledge management.

Pauline Jackson is a born and bred educator having taught at schools in KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng as a Physical Science teacher. During her 30 year commitment to education in South Africa she has served on many education committees that served to develop the teaching environment in the schools that she was involved in. For the last ten years, Pauline has been the Executive Headmistress of St Andrew’s School for Girls, overseeing the successful development of the school, both from an infrastructural and curriculum point of view. She is an active sports woman, having coached tennis and was President of the South African Schools Rowing Union from 2008 to 2011.


It is a privilege having them both on board.
